Book Review - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Everyone knows that Lord Voldemort has risen once again, and there is a wave of fear and uncertainty. Ministry of Magic starts arresting people and pursuing Harry Potter to stand with them, to give everyone hope. While Harry and Dumbledore kept themselves out of it, and focus on more trivial matters, like how to kill Voldemort?

The Half-Blood Prince's old book helped Harry in potion class, which is now taken by Professor Horace Slughorn, and Snape finally gets his dream job of teaching DADA. While Harry has no idea who the half-blood prince is, Hermione tried her best to reveal the book's identity and warns Harry to not use it because they know what happened when Ginny uses Tom Riddle's diary and opened a Chamber of Secrets. 

Harry doubts that Draco Malfoy becomes a death eater with all perplexity and is given a task to accomplish by Lord Voldemort. No one truly believes Harry, but his instincts get stronger steadily. He also suspects Snape, which he is doing for years, but Harry's suspicion proved precise this time. 

Dumbledore assigns Harry a task to retrieve a specific Professor's memory that will help them defeat Voldemort, leading me to my favorite chapter of this book, Horcruxes. It gives a lot more information compared to the movie clearly. 

This book has more teenage drama and the blossoming love story of Harry and Ginny. The effectiveness of different potions and hexes are quite interesting because now they have more knowledge and experience. Also, no Harry Potter book is complete without the mention of Quidditch. After Fred and George left Hogwarts, Ron and Ginny become a notable member of the team. While in Ron's case, it is debatable, but Ginny passed with flying colors unquestionably. 

With Dumbledore's death, Harry decides to not come back to Hogwarts. He wanted to find and destroy the Horcruxes, so when he faces Lord Voldemort, he can kill him and avenge his kith and kin's death. I can't wait to read the last book in the Harry Potter series, but I'm also feeling sad that it all will be end forever after the Deathly Hallows.
