Book Review -
Geet Ki Aradhana Mein is a collection of thirty-three poems written in the Hindi language by Anirudh Pareek. His debut book focuses on lost love, admires veterans and patriots, and discusses society and politics in general.
His work left a mark on the reader's heart. The choices of words are impressive, which makes the book easy to read and fast-paced. Each prose is directed towards a distinct situation, and a reader can connect with them or a few as per the connection they made while reading.
Some poems are lyrical, while some feel straight lucid, which I think could be better. Also, the cover page and synopsis need a re-work. I always believe that the author's picture on the cover page only looks good if it is an autobiography/biography. When it comes to other genres, it didn't work well.
When I read the synopsis, I thought Anirudh's work was based on the theme of motherhood, but it didn't. So, the blurb definitely misleads the readers. I'm hoping that the author work on these suggestions asap.
Apart from these, I have no issues. I enjoyed Anirudh Pareek's work, and I'm looking forward to reading more from him in the future. Moreover, I have a unique space in my heart for Hindi writing works, especially poems or ghazals, and when I read this book, it made me rethink various aspects of life.
So, if you're affectionate towards Hindi poetry, then give this book a try. I'm sure you're going to enjoy it.
