The Secret Sign of The Lizard People is the debut book written by Kevin E. Buckley. The story is based on two detectives and their usage of wit throughout the book. This satire fiction is one of its kind.
The main characters, Leafy and Beefy, LAPD detectives, come across a murder case of a young model named Enema Johnson. Soon they realized that she was not the target and then began the hunt for the one who was the real prey.
Unfortunately, their research leads them to some outlandish outcomes and a covert association that wants to rule the Earth and enslave humans.
With the help of other characters, they form a team to stop the aliens known as lizard people. But, will they be able to stop them or join them?
After a very long time, I read an excellent satire. Again, the detectives were pivotal to discussing heavy topics so naturally that they made me laugh. Even the political and religious mockery was too good that I didn't offend, so kudos to Kevin E. Buckley.
Leafy and Beefy are poles apart, but they share a solid bond and trust each other blindly. Their banter makes the story goofier and more relatable.
I can't wait to read the next part, and if you're looking for something fun, fast-paced, sarcastic tale to read, pick this one. I recommend it.
