You Will Die by Shiv Kumar is a political thriller that delves into the darker aspects of human nature. The first book in the series follows the investigation of assassination attempts on the Indian Prime Minister, Sunil Mishra.

The lead investigator Abhay and his team navigate through deadly and dangerous situations; to reveal the assassin's identity. However, they need to save themselves as well because of their previous operation, and this case is linked, increasing the tension and suspense with each chapter. 

There are many characters, and they all have their own unique backstory, motivation, and desires. But none of them are well-developed, leaving me disconnected from the story. The love angels have also seemed forced. Everything happens so fast that the reader has no time to click with the characters. 

Abhay and his team were trying to save the Prime Minister and uncover many plots; it was a race against time. Although, the assassins also drop hints and provokes Abhay to find them. As his past also correlated to it. It was striking to see how it all came together in the end. 

The story never feels slow or bogged down, but it lacks the proper execution. The narration could have been better, with a more polished and cohesive writing style. It also suffers from grammatical errors. 

Overall, the story is likable and has moments of suspense, but ultimately falls short in delivering a truly engaging and satisfying reading experience. I hope that the author improves the above-mentioned part in his next book. I recommend it to newbies only.
