The Sun, The Moon, and The Love in Between is penned by two authors, Faraaz Kazi and Sahar Quaze. It is a beautiful and heart-wrenching story that will make you believe in the power of love, despite all the obstacles that come to its path.
The story follows the life of Azhar Siddiqui, an average-looking guy who always believed in finding his true love someday. However, his experiences with women always lead to heartbreak and disappointment.
Azhar and Ishaan share a strong bond of brotherhood, despite not being connected by blood. Ishaan is a confident, handsome, and flirty character whose dynamics with Azhar change with time.
As Azhar becomes more aware of the reason for his low self-esteem, he begins to distance himself from Ishaan. The final blow to their friendship comes when Ishaan betrays Azhar, leaving him feeling lost and alone. Then, he finds solace in social media and connects with beautiful Zahra.
Azhar and Zahra's connection is intense, and they immediately hit it off. However, Zahra has some secrets that she has kept hidden from everyone, especially from Azhar, a mystery that has consumed her life and impacted those around her. When Azhar finally learns about it, he is torn between his love for her and society's mental influence.
Will Azhar overcome the challenges thrown his way? Will he and Zahra find their happily ever after? Will the secret that Zahra has been keeping cause Azhar's love to turn into hate and disgust? And what role did Ishaan play in all of this drama? To uncover the answers, you must read the story.
It is a beautiful portrayal of the power of love, companionship, and hope. The story is fast-paced, intense, and emotional and will take you on a rollercoaster ride of sentiments.
The authors have done an excellent job of weaving a gripping and fresh tale. The characters are developed enough to connect with the reader, and their emotions are conveyed in a way that makes you empathize with them.
Once you start reading this book, you will find it hard to put down. Faraaz Kazi and Sahar Quaze touched upon some critical issues, such as mental health, relationships, societal intimidation, and, more importantly, gender discrimination and human rights, which make the story all the more relevant.
While the cover page is stunning and the storyline is gripping, I found the fonts to be a bit small, and the use of Hindi words and one-liners didn't enhance my reading experience.
Overall, this book will make you laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. It is a story that will stay with you long after you have finished reading it. However, it is essential to note that the content is explicit, so I recommend it only to adult readers.
Trigger Warnings - Sexual Content, Coarse Language, Gore.
